As an avid diver, I am always on the lookout for new technology to ensure not  only my safety, but that I always have the best tools available on the market.  Nothing can heighten the diving experience quite like the ultimate diving  computer and my experience with the Suunto Vyper Air Dive Computer is worthy of  note. I had read several dive computer reviews in the past, as I don’t have an  endless budget to waste on equipment, and eventually decided that this  particular unit seemed to be the right fit – an incredible choice on my  part.

I was with my normal diving trio of my brother and his girlfriend when we  decided to explore a bit just offshore in Pensacola, Florida. We had the idea of  trading tools when we surfaced, giving everyone a chance with a different wrist  dive computer. With our tanks in onboard, we ventured out, dropped anchor, and  were submerged before we knew it.

Right from the start, I loved the sleek look of the Suunto Vyper. The numbers  were easy to see and the layout of the visual interface made it simple to  quickly check my depth and dive time. The water is always warm in the Gulf of  Mexico, so the temperature gauge didn’t fluctuate much – it wasn’t until a few  months later when diving off the coast of California that I truly began to  appreciate the temperature sensitivity that this particular unit brought to the  table.

Now, back to our Pensacola dive…

We surfaced after a tank and I was elated at my purchase. After all, the  research had paid off and I had exactly what I was after. Reluctantly, I traded  my Suunto for my brother’s girlfriend’s scuba diving watch, and again, we were  submerged. It was like I had crossed the point of no return. I’m not sure if the  Suunto had spoiled me in a single dive or what, but ultimately, I didn’t want to  dive without it again.

To make a long story short, my brother never got a chance to dive with it, as  his girlfriend refused to give it up. The algorithm technology within the Suunto  Viper Air Dive Computer provided continuous decompression feedback, so I no  longer had to go by “feel”. Trust me, when you finally have the equipment to  enjoy a dive properly, you wouldn’t want to go back!

I know I won’t.

As a diving enthusiast, dive computers have become an intricate part in this  hobby of mine. After trying out various brands of these fantastic gadgets, I  finally found the perfect wrist dive computer for me.

This site will hopefully be a great help to all you divers (and  diving enthusiasts) out there who have yet to find the dive computer that is  just right for you.

Enjoy!

The Suunto Vyper Air Dive Computer is a fantastic piece of equipment for scuba divers as well as for diving aficionados. It comes in the form of a wrist dive computer, combining style and functionality into one slick package. Data viewing is clear, with all the essential information available on one screen, making it simple and user-friendly. Anyone looking for a high quality, easy-to-use diving apparatus should read on and contemplate on this particular dive computer review.

The first thing that is easy to see about the Vyper Air is its stylishly good looks. Most users will be pleased to note how fashionable it seems compared to the typical models in the market. It is also amazingly lightweight, with a sleek physique that makes it physically more attractive-looking compared to the others.

As well as being stylish and sleek, the Vyper Air is also a breeze to use. Within a few minutes of tinkering with this gadget, most users can get a handle on most, if not all, of its functions. The wireless integration and transmitter is very easy to set up. Upon diving, it undergoes a pairing procedure to prevent signals from other transmitters and dive computers from clashing with it. The display is also very easy to read, which makes it great for various underwater dive conditions. In addition, it has a feature that allows users to simulate dives before they are really in the water, which helps divers prepare in advance and make the actual descent relatively worry-free.

Compared to the last Vyper version, this latest Suunto creation comes in with several additions. Aside from monitoring oxygen measurements and dive statistics, the Suunto Vyper Air has one other amazing feature: a 3D compass. This means that users can tilt their wrists up to 45 degrees without losing any visibility. This comes in very handy in certain dive situations. Users can also download their diving logs into a PC, which makes the viewing and transfer of dive data faster and easier.

Despite the variety of dive computers that are currently available in the market, quality should take precedence over cost when deciding to buy these gadgets. The Vyper Air is the perfect tool for the diver who wishes to acquire a high quality dive computer, even if it costs a little more than the others. Although there are other inexpensive versions being offered nowadays, spending a few more bucks cannot hurt that much if it means getting the best out of it. Divers who are looking for a stylish, highly functional dive apparatus with loads of advanced features would not be settling for less when choosing the Suunto Vyper Air.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Suunto dive computer watch:

“I highly recommend Suunto dive computer watch to anyone. For the computer: large display, easy to use 4-button system (I actually did not read the instruction before the first use with air, as it was self-explanatory with Suunto computer menu). I’m new to diving with only 30 dives so far and selected Suunto for being conservative, popular in Europe and Egypt (this is where I dive) and easy to use. The only thing was the user manual was in Spanish but you I downloaded English one directly from Suunto website (did I mention I did not have to read it before first dive with it?).”
